Mr Alexander Karsiotis created Saraswati in 1995 after having spent several years in Indian studying the sitar. Saraswati now promotes music culture and new dreams. We also organize concerts and produce cd's. At Saraswati we believe that art is a means of awakening our inner world and determining the quality of aesthetics that will govern our lives. For this reason we have tried to create and promote music that represents values that are timeless, beautiful and at the same time opportune.    A very important role in the final quality of our productions is played by the special center we have created at Kapandriti, just outside Athens: an open air ancient Greek styled amphitheater situated inside a secluded valley surrounded by running water and "Japanese gardens". This is where visiting artists reside, rehearse and record. It is also where the hosts live and offer a number of high quality-high fun symposiums cum concert evenings to select groups of people, always in the form of an offering.    Pandit Hariprashad Chaurasia, Rakesh Chaurasia, Subhankar Banerjee, Rabindra Goswami, Debashish Dey, Petroloukas Halkias, Ross Daly, Giorgos Amaradidis, Sokratis Sinopoulos, Nikos Saragoudas, Giasemi Saragouda, Ahileas Halkias, Antonis Kiritsis, the Renaissance Group Sinphonia, the Afro Lab Percussion ensemble and many others have performed at our theater.    Saraswati is greatful for and proud of all that has achieved to date and looks forward to a bright and creative future while wishing good luck to all.
